XCodes IPTV Setup & Installation Guide

Setting up XCodes IPTV takes three things: a compatible device, an IPTV player app, and the login details you receive after ordering. This hub explains the general process and links to a detailed guide for each device.

Before you start

Your login details

A server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), or an M3U playlist URL. Keep them private.

A player app

Chosen to suit your device. Some apps are free, others have paid tiers — that is separate from your subscription.

A steady connection

Ethernet is best. On Wi-Fi, use the 5 GHz band and keep the device near the router.

The general setup process

The menus differ between apps, but every setup follows the same five steps.

New to the login fields? The XCodes IPTV login guide explains each one, including the most common typing mistakes.

  1. 1

    Install a player app

Use your device's official app store wherever possible.

  2. 2

    Choose the login type

Pick “Xtream Codes”, “Xtream API” or “Login with username/password”. Choose “M3U URL” only if Xtream isn't offered.

  3. 3

    Enter your details exactly

Copy the server URL including http:// or https:// and any port number (for example :8080). Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

  4. 4

    Wait for the first load

The first sync of live channels, films, series and the TV guide can take a few minutes on large lists.

  5. 5

Set the time zone and test

Match the guide's time zone to your location, then test a few channels before adding favourites.
